24: The Law of Energy

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.”

—Nikola Tesla

Introduction

Energy is that which allows matter to move.

In a materialistic conception of the cosmos, energy is not living. It provides dead matter with the impetus to move in a particular direction.

However, in the world of spirit, energy is living and conscious. Its base nature is a form of divine will or volition.

This will manifest as thought patterns, emotions, or actions in the spiritual or physical planes.

According to Theosophy, all humans carry a spiritual aura that has many complex layers.

Some layers correspond to violet or indigo, which is the energy of love or spiritual thoughts. Orange may correspond to creativity, while gold corresponds to intelligence.

Every layer that a soul has is the result of many lifetimes of accumulated abilities throughout its entire existence.

The more types of energies that the soul carries, the more diverse its range of talents, skills, and means of expression or manifestation.

Therefore, all intention is merely the prime mover that may eventually propel the soul towards actions, made manifest in the physical world.

Hence, spiritual energy or consciousness is simply that which moves the world, empowering many thoughts, feelings, and physical actions.

The materialist conception that we are simply the sum of our material parts is imprecise.

If it were the case, we would simply be mere inorganic and dead matter without any inner feelings, thoughts, or consciousness.

Imagine the concept of the philosophical zombie, as described by Daniel Dennett. It is the idea that we are all material beings without a soul. Therefore, we can only manifest behavior but have no inner conscious experience.

Imagine seeing the color red. Any conscious being can feel, perceive, and experience red. If one has no inner consciousness, it would be pure nothingness, not even pure black.

When we realize that we are powerful spiritual beings with a rich inner world, our lives change.

We realize that intentions are real, energetic, and spiritual entities. We can call upon these to empower our actions.

The external world is almost always a reflection of the inner world. When we empower our actions with a desire for destruction, the world would be all wars and strife.

If we empower it with positivity and love, the external world will become a manifestation and expression of heaven.

Heaven and hell are not places that we go to in the afterlife. Instead, upon death, the astral world becomes a mirror of our soul.

Tetris as an Analogy

In Tetris, this law is illustrated by one very simple manifestation: misdrops.

Misdrops are unintended placements of tetrominoes in the wrong places, disrupting the flow of the game.

A misdrop with J and T pieces.

The above diagram shows a misdrop.

Misdrops happen to everyone, even the most skilled Tetris players. One cannot entirely prevent such. However, how one reacts to misdrops can be controlled, and this determines one’s proficiency.

Many Tetris players blow up in anger after a misdrop, forfeiting many games. They can become even more frustrated and anxious, leading to more misdrops.

Instead, calmer, cooler heads can sometimes treat the misdrop as if it were nothing. They continue playing at maximal speed to recover from such.

Hence, a skilled player can do this:

Diagram Set 24-2

The player misdropped, resulting in this inconducive shape with a cavity. To fix it, one can tuck an O under the cavity to fill it.

Here, the player faces a misdrop but tucks in an O under the cavity to fill it, making the stack cleaner. A player can also do the following:

Diagram Set 24-3
12
A misdrop causes this cavity-ridden shape. One uses a J piece to cleanly skim off the top layer, exposing the lower layers. Stacking can then continue normally.

Here, a player skims off the top layers after a terrible misdrop.

In the best situations, a very skilled Tetris player can turn misfortune into opportunity. They can, like in the following, turn a misdrop into a T-spin chance:

The player turns the misdrop into a partial T-spin triple (a T-spin double).

Hence, easily angered and frustrated players embody the intention and energy of wrath. This manifests as further misdrops and game forfeitures in the physical world.

The more stoic and resilient player who forgives themselves for mistakes will maintain the intention and energy of inner peace. This then translates into fewer misdrops and better mid-game recovery in the physical world.

We each carry forth a particular set of energetic frequencies. In the afterlife, consciousness empowers reality. What one thinks immediately becomes conjured in one’s surroundings.

Hence, in many near-death experiences, people who used to be evil are often surrounded by other similar and harmful souls.

If a soul strongly believes in the doctrine of soul sleep in Christian beliefs, it would materialize in a realm in the afterlife where it would sleep. This continues until they realize it is an illusion.

Suppose a soul who is distressed from suicide arrives on the other side. In that case, they may be drawn towards gray realms filled with other suicidal souls until they decide to rise to other, more joyful realms.

A soul that has been loving and caring throughout one’s life can gravitate towards realms of pure bliss and universal acceptance.

This is the whole idea of Robert Monroe’s study of consciousness. In his studies of the afterlife through induced out-of-body experiences, he discovered that souls gravitate towards their spiritual development or belief systems after death.

Souls whose beliefs are strongly influenced by religious teachings may experience realms populated by figures familiar from their tradition, such as angels or other spiritual beings.

I had several out-of-body experiences while using Monroe’s Gateway Experience method.

I once went to another oceanic planet and saw blue-skinned beings and other massive sea creatures. It was not an ordinary dream, as the awareness expanded beyond the waking state. I was in spirit form.

I also had clear glimpses of a prior, highly advanced civilization that sank into the ocean when their energy crystals exploded. I cannot verify if it was on Earth or another planet.

Hence, one’s internal state or intention manifests as one’s external reality.

Personal Applications

To apply this law of energy (sometimes called the law of intention), change what you are inside, and your external world will become a reflection of what you want to be or have.

It is that simple.

However, to do so, one should be honest about what one is and what one is not.

One should introspect and be truthful to oneself. As said earlier, in Theosophy, one’s thoughts and personality manifest as a colored aura that some spiritual mediums or psychics can read.

More experienced souls have larger, more intense, and multicolored layers, reflecting their inner complexities. Man Visible and Invisible by C.W. Leadbeater covers this extensively.

Hence, sense this aura, and imagine your personality projecting forth outwards in an aura all around you.

If you are a natural healer and can be composed and supportive, it can surface as a green aura.

If you are filled with negativity and past trauma, it can color your aura a dirty beige or black.

There are no better or worse personalities or aura types.

Once you equate your personality and inner spiritual nature with an outwardly manifestable auric form, it is easier to be truthful with yourself.

Introspect to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and imagine them radiating outward as auras.

Then keep what you wish to keep, and reflect on the negative aspects of yourself that you want to change.

This relates to the law of cause and effect, as covered earlier.

If you have an auric overlay of dirty brown or beige, it could imply addiction or self-destructive coping methods.

Once identified, you will realize that this intention or energy manifests materially as negative coping strategies like drinking, binge-drinking, or doomscrolling.

Do this for other aspects of yourself that you wish to change.

When you change for the better, such as by incorporating the intention and energy of love and peace, your worldly form will manifest as such.

This is the simple secret to improving your life.

And when your spiritual vibrations expand, you are more likely to attract the right people who are drawn to your magnetic personality.

These can be business partners, romantic ideals, or teachers. Your social life and career will then blossom.

Even if you do not believe in the concept of actual human or spiritual auras, what is real is simply realized in tangible effects.

Surely, it is no act of lunacy when we state that if one is angry, one’s behavior will be aggressive. If one is vengeful, one’s actions may lead to revenge. However, if one is peaceful within, it can have a serene effect on others.

Ultimately, you are what you are until you change yourself.
