“Tetris is not a puzzle to be studied, but a reality to experience. You must play and flow with it.”

About the Author

Hello! I’m Galactoid, the creator of the well-known Galactoid Tetris WordPress guides. I am known by many other names, such as Ei_lara, on my Twitch Tetris streaming channel. Hard Drop Wiki has referenced my Tetris research under my former account, Malady2. Part of my advanced perfect clear research patterns also made it into Four.lol’s Tetris guide pages.

I’m a Tetris 99 main and am one of the most efficient Tetris players worldwide, having done 510,000 T-spins and having a T-spin per line clear ratio of 0.2 to 0.25 – one of the most efficient. Here’s a screenshot of my account as proof of my qualifications and experience in teaching Tetris:

Note that I never use my “Galactoid” name in any Tetris games, despite it being my most well-known name. If you see “Galactoid” on any Tetris games, like Jstris, it is not me. I use other names.

I have played Tetris since 2020, and it has become my obsession. I showed an early gift for spotting Tetris setups.

By my first week of playing Tetris, I could do eight back-to-back perfect clears. By the game’s third day, I could plan multiple mid-game T-spins and create mid-game T-spin triple setups. By the first week, I had memorized 50 openers. I was in the top 5 to 10 on Tetris Effect’s Journey modes (under Epic Games under Aurora Aera) for a while. I commonly terrorize Tetris 99 lobbies by doing 100 T-spins in some matches.

Over many years, I have researched thousands of novel Tetris methods and pioneered many guides in several novel areas, such as:

  1. Advanced splicing T-spin methods
  2. Advanced perfect clears of all bags
  3. Advanced all-spin methods
  4. Advanced parity concepts
  5. Advanced T-spin props
  6. Advanced stack balance methods
  7. Advanced stacking theory
  8. Introduced new concepts like field harmony and vulnerability to Tetris
  9. Tetris philosophy and spirituality

I have spent five years experimenting and testing these techniques to filter out the least practical methods, leaving only the most viable and streamlined techniques. My Galactoid Tetris WordPress website has nearly 100 guides in every Tetris skill area. It is a comprehensive research website on Tetris, referenced by the Tetris community. It is one of the most exhaustive guides worldwide.

These are some of my Tetris feats from my mid-game when I stream on my Twitch channel below. I create them at between 1.7 to 2.2 pieces per second. Note the cleanliness and minimal T-piece wastage in the stack. These are Tetris 99 screenshots:

The above screenshots demonstrate my Tetris mastery to guide others. With 3,000 hours of playing and researching Tetris, I am in a position of authority to write my guidebooks to help you master Tetris.

Every Tetris player has areas in which they excel or specialize. Kazu, for instance, prioritizes aggressive back-to-back gameplay, while Amemiya and Wumbo focus on 4-wides and semi-defensive gameplay.

What do I specialize in? Many areas:

  1. T-spin splicing setups
  2. Prophecy setups
  3. Garbage hole awareness
  4. T-spin donations
  5. Freestyle all-spins
  6. Back-to-back bonus
  7. Perfect clears
  8. Miscellaneous methods
  9. Theory and understanding

I also have a high proficiency in downstacking, perfect Tetrises, skimming, perfect 2-step finesse, parity management, proper stacking, recovery, and decent speed.

Not convinced?

As a novelist, I swear by the motto of “show and don’t tell.”

This means that, instead of me merely telling people my Tetris credentials, I simply show them my gameplay and let them judge my level of experience.

Here’s a lot of footage of my mid-game prowess:

Layout of this Tetris Book Series

This guidebook series’ methods are based on observing, studying, analyzing, and compiling the techniques and strategies of high-level players such as Kazu, Amemiya, Doremy, Wumbotize, Furea, Fractal161, Blue Scuti, Firestorm, Yakine, myself, and many others.

It has the core features:

  1. Experience-backed content
  2. Principles-focused content
  3. Streamlined, well-structured, and clear content
  4. Heavy applied illustrations

Book 1 is a super-condensed and streamlined version of some parts of Books 2 and 3, designed for casual players. However, it still provides vital refreshment for players of any skill level. In those books, you will see the full extent of their depth, scope, analysis, and nuance.

More details on the other books are on the main page of this website.

I have generously made Books 0, 1, A, & B free. I have also made 3 chapters free from each of Books 2, 3, & 4 on this website.

All my Tetris guidebooks DO NOT use AI text or image generation.

Everything is a human product, obtained through years of laborious Tetris research, writing, illustrating, and editing.

Enjoy the Books!

I hope you enjoy my Tetris content.

While I strive for perfection, a small number of errors may remain since the book is self-published with limited manpower. Please contact me if you spot any for a future, second edition publication!

The errata page is here, which I will constantly update:
