Floating T-spins are fancy and can open up many mid-game opportunities. However, they have high piece and field dependencies. Double S or Z 5-wides are mainly used to eliminate excess S and Z pieces. Standard 3-wide STMB Caves are highly beneficial and practical mid-game. Here is a list of tips:
- Look out for even 3-wide gaps for a standard STMB Cave with S or Z props.
- Look out for even 5-wide gaps for a 5-wide STMB Cave with double S or Z pieces.
- Even STSDs can float!
- In more advanced forms, 3-wide and 5-wide STMB Caves can take on the form of T-spin donations!
- Sky Props, when freestyled, also add to more floating T-spin chances.
- There are also many other forms of freestyle floating T-spins.
