HowtoTetris – Complete Tutorial Video Series

I have created the longest Tetris tutorial video series in the world (by total footage length) as of February 2026.

As of 9 February 2026, the series consists of 52 tutorial videos, totaling 7.5 hours of carefully structured instruction.

These videos were built from over 850 meticulously selected gameplay clips taken from my Twitch Tetris streams.

What Makes These Tutorials Different?

This series is not meant to replace the work of other Tetris creators. Different creators serve different audiences, use different Tetris variants, and emphasize different styles.

That said, my tutorials are distinct in several important ways.

1) Naturally Occurring, Battle-Tested Setups

Nearly every clip used in these videos comes from real competitive gameplay on my Twitch streams.

Nothing was forced.

Nothing was staged in sandbox mode.

Each setup appears organically mid-game, made while “in the flow,” choosing the optimal decision given real pressure, real garbage, and real piece sequences.

The result is instruction based on efficient, practical, empirically tested situations that actually occur in live play.

2) An Encyclopedic Complement to My Guidebooks

My written guidebooks follow a curriculum-based structure, organized around themes like stacking, downstacking, skimming, and efficiency.

The video series intentionally takes a different role.

Many of the videos function as an encyclopedia of individual Tetris methods — including highly specific setups such as spliced T-spins, prophecy STSDs, and other advanced patterns.

Together, the books provide structure, while the videos provide breadth and completeness.

3) Concise, Streamlined Teaching

Unlike my guidebooks, which explain techniques exhaustively, the videos focus on only the most important execution shortcuts—often the 3–4 key ideas that actually matter in real play.

This makes the series ideal for players who want:

  • Fast comprehension
  • Clear visual examples
  • Minimal theory, maximum applicability

4) Unique and Rarely Covered Techniques

My many tutorials cover material that has not been systematically presented elsewhere.

Some techniques — such as 7-2 LST or 8-1 stacking — may exist in fragmented form online, but my presentations emphasize:

  • What to do
  • What not to do
  • Common mistakes
  • Practical mid-game constraints

I also cover setups such as the Lalande T-spin, along with numerous original mid-game props and spliced setups developed through years of testing and play.

5) Organized by Difficulty

All tutorials on this website are classified by difficulty, from beginner to expert.

This creates a complete learning path:

  • Beginners can start with stacking fundamentals and simple 4-wide combo methods
  • Advanced players can explore complex spliced DT Cannons and high-efficiency setups

6) Visually Clear and Pleasant to Watch

Many gameplay clips come from official guideline Tetris titles, including:

  • Puyo Puyo Tetris
  • Tetris 99
  • Tetris Effect

This results in clearer visuals and a more polished viewing experience compared to clips from less graphically intensive environments.

Upcoming Videos

The series is still expanding.

I currently have 10–15 additional tutorial videos planned, which will be released as more high-quality gameplay clips are collected.

If you would like to see a specific topic covered, feel free to request it in the comments on my YouTube tutorial videos.
