About the Author

Hello! I am Aquila Goh, often known as Galactoid, the creator of the Galactoid Tetris WordPress and HowtoTetris guides (7 Tetris books in total).

I am a Tetris 99 main and an exceptionally efficient Tetris player, having completed 510,000 T-spins. I have a T-spin-per-line-clear ratio of 0.2-0.25 (top-tier). Here is a screenshot of my account as proof of my qualifications in teaching Tetris. I go by Ei’lara on Twitch and Tetris 99:

I have played Tetris since 2020, and it has become my obsession. I commonly terrorize Tetris 99 lobbies by doing 100 T-spins in some matches.

I have spent 5 years experimenting and testing Tetris techniques to find the most viable and streamlined methods. My Galactoid Tetris WordPress website has nearly 100 guides in every Tetris skill area.

The Goal of This Guidebook

I have written this book as a compilation of common questions and answers in Tetris. Its goal is to supplement my core series of Books 1 to 4.

This book assumes that the player already has a basic-to-intermediate understanding of Tetris and has read some of my guidebooks, such as Books A, 1, or 2. There are many technical terms and assumed prior knowledge.

This book is targeted at Tetris players who have a fervent desire to not just know the “whats” of Tetris, but to understand the “whys” of the game.

This book consolidates all the key insights from my 6 other Tetris books into a single, short, and accessible book.

I provide you with the juicy answers to your burning questions about Tetris in a concise, entertaining way.

The questions and answers range from super-easy to ultra-advanced.
