A Guide to the How-to-Tetris YouTube Tutorial Videos

Introduction

Most free Tetris guides out there, such as Four.lol or Hard Drop Wiki, have, strangely, rarely covered some methods in this section in depth.

I have filled the extreme void by collecting a vast number of mid-game T-spin setups that these guides have neglected.

For instance, in my Shachiku Train guide, I have explored a never-before-seen variant, the vertical Shachiku Train method. This vastly expands this method. I also find it strange how many players neglect methods like mid-game BT Cannons, even though they are very practical once you dissect their common mid-game situations.

This is where my How-to-Tetris tutorials shine, covering content never covered before.

Enjoy!

Lesser-Known Canonical Methods Made Practical

The following showcases methods such as Kaslideoscopes, Shachiku Trains, BT Cannons, BT-STSDs, and DT-STSDs, which many players have often shelved. I now prove to you, conclusively, with experience, that they are highly practical in the mid-game. Prepare to elevate Tetris to a far higher level and rise above your opponents and rivals!

Shachiku Train

Shachiku Train is a T-spin double to another T-spin double setup. It has 2 variants: the traditional one and the vertical version, which I discovered.

Kaslideoscope

Kalisdeoscope is a T-spin mini to T-spin triple setup. It is dangerous to use, but it can fix stack imbalances and can be practical if used properly.

DT Cannon 2

DT Cannon 2 is the non-traditional variant of DT Cannon, featuring a T-spin double and T-spin triple inside. It is more difficult to use than the latter because it requires an uneven field parity to make the most of it most of the time.

Winsor T-Spin Double

Winsor T-spin double is often a T-spin mini or single setup to another T-spin double. It is often used to balance field stack imbalances and to not waste T pieces.

Lalande

Lalande is an underrated ability that I discovered. It us often an upgrade to an STMB Cave, granting 2 T-spin doubles. The second T-spin needs to be vertically rotated for it to work.

DT-STSD (Virgo)

DT-STSD is a triple T-spin double setup. It looks almost like the DT Cannon, but it is different. It is practical mid-game if you use it correctly.

BT Cannon

BT Cannon is often associated with the opener. It gives a T-spin double and T-spin triple. While more dangerous and less practical than a DT Cannon, it has its uses in the mid-game.

BT-STSD

BT-STSD is a slightly altered BT Cannon with 3 T-spin doubles. It is most practical for upgrading Sky Props.

4-Wides Expanded

Many Tetris guides cover only 2 kinds of 4-wide: side 4-wide and center 4-wide. More importantly, they cover only 4-wides with 3 residues within the well.

I am here to show you that there are other kinds of off-centered 4-wides. You can also use 4-wides with 4, 5, 6, or higher residues.

Last, you can also insert Tetrises and T-spins inside 4-wides to boost their firepower and defenses.

Other Miscellaneous Donations and Methods

The methods below involve rarely used prop combinations for T-spin donations. I also show how Tetrises can be donated and also float. That is correct! Floating Tetris donations that function practically like STMB Caves!

The R-prop is a method Furea (Flare) often uses mid-game.

Tetrises can be donated and floated like this:

It is also sometimes known that you can use tucks to create T-spin setups. However, these methods largely remain undocumented and unnamed. These are out-of-order, non-linear, semi-prophecy setups:
