After 7 years of playing and researching Tetris, alongside creating Tetris website, video, and book guides, I am officially announcing my retirement from Tetris.

I will not be writing any more Tetris guidebooks, given the current circumstances. I feel burned out from Tetris and feel that the Tetris Company is not taking the game seriously, resulting in its slow decline.

From now on, I will only be completing a few more Tetris guide videos (to complete the YouTube tutorial series) and streaming occasionally for fun, maybe once every 4 to 8 weeks.

However, it is time for me to take a major step back from the game that I used to be passionate about and move on to other matters.

Over many years, I have lost my zeal and passion for the game, since there is only a finite number of methods and strategies to discover, master, and teach. The last few Twitch streams for me, as of mid-August 2026, have been rather anemic for me. I find myself staring at the screen, my mind blanking out, forcing myself to play when I just do not really enjoy Tetris anymore.

Likewise, after mapping out around 4000 pages of Tetris guides on my 2 Tetris guide websites, alongside nearly 100 Tetris tutorial videos, there is only so much strategy and tactics to cover before the game repeats itself monotonously. I wish I could write more Tetris guidebooks, but with the advent of my Book C, there is nothing left, except maybe some over-specialized methods, which I have no interest in.

Furthermore, I do not feel connected to most Tetris communities because of a massive gulf in worldview, philosophy, and a slight generational gap. Simply put, I do not connect with most Tetris players and prefer a solitary path.

However, I plan to write a Tetris philosophical and spiritual novel trilogy and some Tetris philosophical creative non-fiction works.

I wish to take a step back from the intellectual and focus on the artistic and spiritual from now on. I will be focusing on creative writing and restarting a childhood passion in art, literature, and architecture.

From now on, I consider my legacy in Tetris complete and will move on to other life ventures.
